Sequence paragraphs are enumeration paragraphs in which elements are mentioned in a temporal or spatial order. These paragraphs often appear in instructional texts, recipes, or scientific texts.

A paragraph is a unit of text that is made up of one or more sentences, beginning with a capital letter and ending with a full stop. The texts are organized in such a way that each paragraph deals with a central idea. Each sequence paragraph covers all the instructions or all the steps necessary to perform a process.

These paragraphs consist of two parts:

• Introductory Phrase: It is a sentence that is at the beginning of the paragraph and that indicates the topic of the procedure that will be developed. For example: How to make a cake.
• Phases of the Procedure: The phases are ordered chronologically, indicating what must be done first and what must be done later. Numbers or letters are used to specify the order of the elements.
